I actually watched this live. Got kind’ve excited there in extra time… for a moment, it was as if I was watching a real sport 🙂
Well, I wouldn’t say sport. European, yes. I’ve always wondered why most of the soccer uniforms don’t prominently display the country’s colors. I spend the first 10 minutes of the game just figuring out who’s who.
Actually, I kind of dig Team USA’s outfits. Not the all-whites, but the blue with the red trim and the big “sash” design on the jersey that they wore in the first game.
England also looks pretty sharp with the collars on their jerseys. But I know what you mean about the random colors. Why does Italy, for example, wear blue?
They do look sharp, very snappy uniforms. But it’s not like the NFL, where you know the second you see a jersey (even the alternates) what team it is. And they also seem to change them every 5 seconds, so as soon as you get used to one, another just pops up.
Oh well. Hey, football (American) season is getting closer!
